The Ancon company is the result of a merger in 1992 between George Clark of Sheffield and Ancon Stainless Steel Fixings, established in 1882 and 1971 respectively. Together, the extensive knowledge and experience of the two companies formed an incredibly successful partnership, which has led to the continued growth of Ancon; the company now employs a 380-strong staff in the United Kingdom and also has offices in Europe, Australia and the Middle East. HRT4 Ancon wall ties are designed to provide added structural security to the external walls of domestic homes of up to ten metres in height. The type-4 wall tie has replaced the old wire butterfly ties and is also ideal when constructing multi-storey extensions and conservatory walls. Extensive independent testing has proved that the dynamic stiffness of each tie is below 4.8MN/m³, meaning they can safely be used to build separating cavity party walls a Part E compliant acoustic tie.
